This plant is one of my favorite plants, and that's saying alot!
This product is wild harvested in our private homestead in Western Colorado. It is Sun dried and hand sifted.
Herbal legend has described that yarrow (Achillea millefolium) was named after Achilles, the Greek mythical hero who used it to stop the bleeding wounds of his soldiers during the Trojan War in 1200 BC. The plant even looks like a shield !
Yarrow has amazing benefits both internally and out.
Internally-Antiseptic, Astringent,Antispasmodic, Bitter, Carminative, Circulatory Stimulant, Diaphoretic, Diuretic, Emmenagogue, Hemostatic, Vulnerary.
Taste Bitter, Pungent
Energetics Cooling, Dry
Yarrow is a great ally when it's time to break a fever. One thing to remember, a fever is your bodies natural immune response and is healthy but when that fever has run for a while or is getting a bit too high yarrow can assist in moving the blood opening the pores and letting heat out. It can be used as an external wash on babies with fever as well.
May assist in with menstrual flow support or menstrual pain with its emmenagouge actions.
Great for cleansing the system in a supportive way, healing any internal wounds.
Yarrow can assist with digestion as well with it strong bitter taste that is very distinct.
